I was born and raised in Puyallup, Washington, and graduated from Puyallup High School. After that, I attended Whitworth College in Spokane, where I graduated in 1971, followed by Gonzaga Law School, from which I graduated in 1976.
Shortly after, my wife, Gaye, and I moved back to our hometown of Puyallup, where I've been practicing law for over 40 years.
Over the years, I've had the honor of serving as president of the Greater Tacoma Christian Layman’s Outreach, which hosts the second-largest prayer breakfast in the country.
Community involvement has always been important to me, and I’ve been actively engaged in various charitable organizations, serving on numerous boards for many years.
I’m proud to be an Eagle member of the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association and a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association.
I've also had the privilege of serving as a trustee of the Pierce County Bar Association and holding roles as Vice President and President-elect for the Greater Tacoma Christian Layman’s Outreach. Additionally, I’ve been a longtime sponsor of the Pierce County Prayer Breakfast.
For 25 years, I’ve served as General Counsel for the Washington Pacific Church of the Nazarene, and throughout my career, I’ve successfully represented over 20,000 clients in personal injury cases, securing settlements, arbitration awards, and jury verdicts that exceed $20 million.
My wife and I have been married for nearly 50 years, and we love spending time outdoors in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with our three grown children and nine grandchildren.

After graduating from law school, I worked for big law firms in San Francisco and Palo Alto, CA gaining experience in commercial litigation, employment, real estate and advising start-ups and companies on various legal and employment issues.
Upon moving to Seattle, more than a decade ago, I decided to bring the big law firm experience and legal expertise to small companies and individual clients and opened my own law office in Bellevue. I provide tailored legal solutions to my clients depending on their case, their needs, and their budget.
Skilled at early case evaluation, value-driven pre-litigation resolutions and litigation management, I am effective before a courtroom judge in motions and trials, as I am in settlement negotiations, arbitrations, mediations and collective bargaining resolutions.
My practice areas include: contract disputes and business litigation, employment, real estate, and family law and immigration.
In my spare time I enjoy coaching basketball, going skiing, hiking, playing tennis and traveling with my family.
